The differences in flavour to the „Minis“ (see there) are naturally – ümanageable. In fact, the longer cigarillo format has the perceptibly larger smoke volume, the somewhat softer and smoother aromas – more sweet and fragrant than woody, although the „Clubs“ also contain something of both worlds of taste. It is always amazing how well the Cubans manage to pack the brand character of their premium cigars into these small short fillers! Here, for example, you can taste hazelnut and red apples, and later also latte. Great!

For those who don't want to cut up the long Toscano "roots" themselves, this short version of the "Classico" is the best choice. Just under half an hour of spicy smoking pleasure is in here - goes just as well with an espresso as it does with a beer.

Unlike the other Toscanellos - which are also considerably lighter - this original version is not flavoured, but delights with the unadulterated, woody-spicy-roasty taste of fire-cured Kentucky tobacco. Medium-bodied and fully aromatic, with fine sweet and sour accents for all their heftiness, they offer a coherent and compact taste picture that connoisseurs have been honouring for many decades - not only in Italy. Despite their rustic appearance, the Steckerl burn perfectly.

Good friends share (almost) everything - this classic Italian dry cigar, for example, each half of which burns for almost half an hour. Medium-bodied and thus considerably lighter than its slightly higher-priced sisters - full-bodied everyday smoke!

It's actually a shame that the popular budget brand only offers this one cigarillo format for friends of stronger Cuban tobacco. The minis are as down-to-earth as they are high-quality as a hearty 10-minute smoke.

Striking roasted aromas, a neat nose full of coffee bean scent, a pleasant light tickle of pepper, the aroma of fresh earth at the back of the palate, but also a hint of fine sweetness are released from the first to the last puff. In terms of flavour variety, the Cuban premium brands may be ahead, but in every other respect they keep up!

The lightest Toscano is also, obviously, the mildest - it has the most distinctive flavour profile. The classic woody notes are softer and "lighter" here, it has more pleasantly acidic overtones, a touch more sweetness and a nutty, toasty component that the other variants do not offer. The expressive resin and smoky tones, on the other hand, seem to be noticeably reduced. Basically, the Kentucky offers a wonderfully unadulterated, thoroughly honest tobacco taste - what more could you want for the price?

All flavoured Toscanellos are much lighter, thus more suitable for beginners and everyday use than the sometimes quite strong natural variants. They make friends for about 25 minutes with good tobacco and a high-quality, clearly recognisable sauciness.

In contrast to the long Toscanos, the intense smoky notes of the fire curing are not very prominent here. Instead, a subtle natural sweetness can be tasted throughout. The low nicotine content of these fine cigarillos should not lead to the misconception that they are thin in aroma! The full-bodied, sweet and spicy flavour of the Brazilian tobacco can be clearly tasted, and the fine, spicy-mild notes of the Indonesian filler harmonise perfectly with it. A hint of cinnamon pleasantly tickles the palate, and as the smoke progresses, more and more Röst notes creep in. All in all, a really complex little smoke at a reasonable price.

Kept in the classic style of lighter Partagás long fillers, with quite intense floral sweetness, but of course also pithy, intense resin, earth and toasty aromas, these wonderful sticks are somewhat reminiscent of the oldest Habanos brand's "Mille Fleurs". Despite above-average strength, they seem just as warm and pleasing as the colours of the very beautifully designed boxes. There is even the beginnings of a real development in the course of the smoke, with more earth and spice in the finish. A real top product!

In every respect - price, maturation time, strength - this Toscano lies between "Classico" and "Antico" - except for the price, however, somewhat closer to the former. Strong, honest fare with ingenious PLV and approx. 30 minutes smoking time per half "root"!

In addition to dark wood aromas, a deep note between earth and cocoa along with hints of sweetness, all Toscanos have certain hearty notes that make you think of smoked meat - no wonder, because this is exactly what happens in the process of "fire-curing" with the tobacco! The process is usually applied to particularly strong Kentucky pipe tobaccos, so the flavour parallels to these are no coincidence either. The creamiest and most flavourful MC cigarillos! Espresso with crema and little sugar, tart-sweet spices, the typical extra-fine cocoa note, at times a little hay... simply awesome how balanced and full-bodied these little pieces are. At medium strength, they burn absolutely reliably and hold their aroma play until the last puff, becoming a little more intense and earthy. What an enrichment in the range of small shortfillers just like the "shorts" from Trinidad and Cohiba!

Puritos are the "Churchills" among cigarillos - relatively long and narrow. Guantanamera also scores massively with this format. Significantly cheaper than the Cuban competition, yet absolutely delicious for about 15 minutes!

The cigarillos of the generally light shortfiller brand are a little stronger and more intense than the cigars, but without overpowering anyone. Cedarwood scent, latte creaminess, a good pinch of earthy-peppery spiciness without an unpleasant bite, along with a nice sweetness, are the flavour constants of this moderate, yet thoroughly taste-intensive smoke. If you want to try out the world of Cuban tobacco for little money or are looking for an indestructible smoke for a break, this is the right choice. Value for money!

Officially marketed as cigarillos, these treats rolled from whole leaves can just as easily be considered small cigars - the smoking time of up to over 30 minutes also speaks for this. They come in nice, practical tin boxes.

Flavours

With a basically identical tobacco blend, there is of course a lot more complexity here than with the small "Griffinos" - more spicy flavour, but also a much wider range of surprisingly elegant wood notes can be tasted. The clinging fruit sweetness and the nutty overtones of the blend are of course just as prominent. The smoke consistency is pleasingly soft. The XL cigarillos start mild and gentle, but increase their intensity considerably as they smoke. However, they never become sharp or biting.
