Gurkha Ghost Connecticut Asura Toro
Worth knowing
The brand new Connecticut version of Gurkha's "Ghost" series convinced us right away. Specially developed to minimise the typical Connecticut bitterness, the wrapper hybrid does exactly what it is supposed to do for around 55 - 65 minutes.
Flavour
Connecticut Shadegrown wrappers almost always signal a toned-down and nicotine-reduced character compared to the other variants in the series - and this is also the case here. Nevertheless, the power of this newcomer tends from light to medium, and the flavour of the blend compiled from numerous tobacco varieties certainly has some intensity to offer. Instead of "burnt" bitter tones, the picture is dominated by sloppy café au lait, a fine cedar flavour and mildly spicy tart nuances, perfectly complemented by a hint of cocoa and the light fruit sweetness typical of the brand.
