Flavour
With its spicy, hearty Broadleaf wrapper and the Ligero-heavy filler from Nicaragua, a typical Pete Johnson blend, the SdC blend comes across particularly expressively in the short 40 format. The distinctive aroma of strongly roasted espresso beans meets wonderfully bittersweet cocoa notes and a permanent earthy-malty undertone with a hint of lightly sweetened liquorice. Its finesse, however, comes from the delightful, multi-faceted interplay of tinglingly spicy aromas, from nutmeg and cinnamon to pepper, clove and allspice. Expressive and strong - a great recommendation for the cold season!

Die Zigarren von Pete Johnson sind das Produkt eines neuen Trends am Tabakmarkt: Hochwertige Zigarren werden veröffentlicht und hinter diesen Marken stecken bekannte Persönlichkeiten, die sich zusammengetan haben. So ist es auch bei Tatuaje: Zusammen mit Don José „Pepin“ Garcia, dem bekannten Zigarrenschöpfer kubanischer Herkunft, und seinem Sohn Jaime Garcia entwickelte Ex-Heavy-Metal-Star Pete Johnson im Jahr 2003 diese besondere Zigarrenmarke. Pete Johnson wandte sich mit seinen ambitionierten Plänen an den kubanischen Garcia-Clan mit Sitz in Nicaragua. Er hätte sich wohl keine bessere Adresse für sein Vorhaben suchen können, als eine Familie, die die Tabakindustrie so geprägt hat. Den Namen für seine Zigarren entnahm Pete Johnson aus dem Spanischen. Übersetzt heißt Tatuaje „Tattoo“. In erster Linie will Johnson damit auf seinen eigenen Körperschmuck anspielen. Pete Johnson ist ehemaliger Gitarrist einer Heavy-Metal-Band aus Los Angeles. Trotzdem geht er in der Entwicklung seiner Zigarrenmarke völlig auf und bringt sich bei mit voller Kraft ein. Sich die Unterstützung von Don „Pepin“ Garcia zu sichern, war ein geschickter Schachzug von ihm. Trotzdem ist seine eigene Meinung bei der Produktion nicht zu unterschätzen: Erst als Johnsons Ideen mit dem tatsächlichen Resultat übereinstimmten, konnte die Produktion der Zigarren an den zwei kleinen Manufakturen in Miami und Nicaragua übergeben werden.
